This is the way that I like to prepare Pre-Alpin for my Tortoises, but I don't think there is a right or wrong way.
Pre-Alpin is not meant to be fed instead of freshweeds, flowers and plants, but a supplement, so that is how I have chosen to treat it.
Only a small amount of Pre Alpin is needed, becasue when it is soaked it really bulks up.
A lovely friend, Lynda told me that she always uses boiling water on hers and I can see why, for some reason it speeds up the soaking process.
I always mix weeds into the Pre alpin. At first this was essential as my tortoises were quite suspicious, but nowdays they wouldprobably eat it with or without the added weeds.
Then serve it up to the critics! Yummmm
