Tortoise Husbandry
I believe in simple tortoise husbandry that gives the tortoise as natural a life as possible. Where possible they should be given a large enclosure, outside, with shelter and plenty of space to roam. It should be well planted, providing areas of shade as well as basking areas.

Indoor accommodation should be an open topped tortoise table, preferably lit with a combined UV and heat bulb as an area for basking. Shelter should be provided at the cooler end of the table. All enclosures should contain access to fresh water.

I do not believe in keeping different species together. If my Spur thighs were to mix with my Hermanns their butting behaviour would be very distressing for the Hermanns. They all require unique care.
